The 2011 Mother Daughter Birding Adventure has officially begun!

2011 birding adventure update - Monday 4/25 - drove from Sherman, Tx to Rockport, Tx with many stops along the way. I had to drop off a golf bag in Dallas, had to stop and buy some fingernail clippers, ( I start panicking if I don't have any with me...that and Qtips :) any way I just had to get out of the car every now and then. But, we are here and it's beautiful.  We did see a few notable birds on our way to the coast ...2  Crested Caracara,  8 White Ibis, and a White Tailed Hawk, which was a life bird for both of us.  More birding tomorrow morning!

P.S.  Just a reminder that my Mother is the "Brains" of this little birding operation.  I am the photographer and driver!

A Happy New Year begins with a full day of birding

The goal is to reach 100 species within the first week of the year.  We had a beautiful warm, and sunny day with 85 different species on January 1st.  Wow!  What an amazing start.
